Election 2017: The Final Countdown Has Begun

As the clock ticks closer to the polls opening tomorrow, JT looks at the last attempts by the leaders to sway the vote their way.

We are now less than 14 hours from the polls opening and the race has well and truly heated up. every party putting out all the stops to ensure they win the most votes. let’s take a final look at the parties campaigning.

The Labour Party

In the past two weeks labour have maintained a very steady lead over the Conservatives, Jeremy Corbyn has managed to draw in crowds with his passionate speeches. The Gateshead rally managed to attract over 10,000 people. The largest crowd since the 1997 Election.

The Conservative Party

It has been a tough couple of weeks for Theresa May, just about managing to keep the mantra of “Strong and Stable leadership” together. From no showing debates to even refusing interviews, Theresa May cannot keep the cabinet from tearing into Labour over Jeremy Corbyn’s past involvement with the IRA.

The Lib Dems

The Lib Dems haven’t been in the spotlight like Labour and the Conservatives. Very little is being done towards the last few days. It seems that the Lib Dems are not looking to win but rather gain seats to influence in the opposition.

To say UKIP has ruffled feathers is quite the understatement, Bumbling through the campaign and putting up bad after bad performances. Refusing to suspend campaigning after this past weekend’s attack in London didn’t help UKIP’s cause.

When the Clock hits midnight tonight, campaigning time is over and the time for voting begins. it’s in our hands now who we want as the next leader of the UK. Who will be leading our Brexit negotiations? who will oversee the police and the NHS?

Its our time to answer so tomorrow. Only you the electorate can decide this! I Won’t tell you who to vote for, all I can say is GO and vote!
